Hi, I’m Ben Nuttall, founder of East Kent SEO.

For over seven years, I’ve worked inside agencies and alongside hundreds of businesses across the UK, helping them get found in search and turn website traffic into real enquiries.

Over time, I kept seeing the same disconnect. Some websites ranked well but didn’t convert. Others looked great but had no real search strategy behind them. Most businesses were being forced to choose between good SEO and good design, when you need both working together.

That’s why I built East Kent SEO: strong SEO foundations, conversion-focused websites, and honest advice that ties directly to business results. Including Google and modern AI search platforms.

Who is Ben Nuttall?

Ben Nuttall is the founder of East Kent SEO, born and raised in Faversham, Kent. He spent 10 years working as an engineer before moving into SEO, and has spent the last 7 years running campaigns across Kent and the UK. He now specialises in SEO for builders and construction firms, helping them get found in Google and AI search so they win more of the right enquiries.

What is your background before SEO?

Ben spent a decade working as an engineer: a career that gave him a methodical, data-driven approach to problem-solving that now underpins every SEO campaign he runs. Engineering teaches you to look past symptoms and find root causes, which is exactly the mindset that makes the difference in SEO.

Why did you start East Kent SEO?

After several years working in SEO agencies, Ben kept seeing the same problems: clients paying retainers without understanding what was being done, and campaigns focused on rankings rather than actual business results. East Kent SEO was founded to do things differently: transparent, honest, results-focused work where clients always know what is happening and why.

Is East Kent SEO just Ben?

No. East Kent SEO is a small, focused team of specialists covering SEO strategy, content and link building. What sets us apart is that Ben personally oversees every campaign and is the person clients deal with directly. There are no account managers or junior staff between you and the work.

Where are you based and who do you work with?

We are based in Faversham, Kent, and work with businesses across Canterbury, Whitstable, Herne Bay, Sittingbourne, Maidstone, Ashford, Folkestone, Dover, Margate, Ramsgate and the wider Kent area, as well as builders and service businesses competing nationally across the UK.

Do you only work with local businesses?

No. While local businesses across Kent make up a significant part of our client base, a growing focus is SEO for builders and construction companies across the UK, including visibility in AI search. We also run national SEO, link building and web design for service businesses anywhere in the country.
