FAQ
Common questions
Is this Google Review Checker free?
Yes. There is no charge and no account required. Searches are rate limited so the tool stays usable for everyone.
What do I put in the business and town fields?
Use the words customers would type. Examples: scaffolder and Canterbury, groundworks contractor and Ashford, crane hire and Maidstone. Keep the town specific rather than typing all of Kent.
Does a higher review count mean they rank higher in the map pack?
Not on its own. Review volume is one signal among many, including rating, relevance, proximity, profile completeness and how active the business is. Treat the list as a competitive snapshot, not a ranking report.
Why are some results outside my town?
Google returns businesses it thinks match the business type and location query. Some firms serve your town from a nearby base, and some listings are messy. Read the address before you treat a result as a direct local rival.
How often is the data updated?
Each search pulls Google business data at the time of the request. If you see a cached note, that means a recent identical search was reused to keep the tool fast and within rate limits.
